Summary:PURPOSE:To convert an input picture converted into a luminance signal into an optional color picture in real time by converting the luminance signal from a TV camera into R, G, B signals of the same level and setting a low-cut and a high-cut level different to each other to the three signals. CONSTITUTION:An industrial TV system is constituted by a TV camera 1, an amplifier 3 amplifying a weak picture signal and a luminance signal, a pseudo color making circuit 4 converting a luminance signal into a color signal, and a color picture tube 5. An RGB separate circuit 6 of the circuit 4 converts the inputted luminance signal into each RGB signal by the same reference voltage 10. Each converted RGB signal is applied to a high cut-off circuit 17, where the high level of each RGB signal is cut off by a different level from each other. Moreover, an output of the circuit 17 is applied to a low cut-off circuit 7, where a low level region is outputted after being cut off. Then, the input picture converted into a luminance signal is converted into an optional color picture in real time, allowing to simplify the constitution of the pseudo color making circuit 4.
