Summary: | PURPOSE:To prevent any increase in the internal resistance and any generation of the internal short circuit of a battery without deteriorating any electrochemical performance of the battery by providing a number of projections on part or the whole of the inner surfaces of macromolecular films used to airtightly enwrap a generation element. CONSTITUTION:A number of bar-like projections 3 are provided on the inner surfaces of exterior members 1 perpendicularly to the inner surfaces so as to prevent any migration or localization of an active material which might be caused by bending or deformation of the battery. The projections 3 may be stuck to the inner surface of the exterior member 1 after being molded in desired form or the projections 3 and the exterior member 1 may be unifiedly molded. For instance, after projections 13 constructed of a material consisting of both Teflon used as a mother material and carbon are directly stuck to exterior polyethylene film members 1 and 1', a negative zinc active material 14 is packed in such a manner that projections 13 are buried in it to stuck it to the exterior member 1, and a positive silver oxide active material is stuck to the exterior member 1' in the same manner as above. Then an electrolyte-holding member 16 and a separator 17 are stacked together. Next the above active material 14 and 15 and exterior members 1 and 1' are superimposed from the upper and the lower sides of the stacked body. After that, the peripheral portions 18 of the members 1 and 1' are stuck together to seal the battery, thereby completing a battery. |
