Summary: | PURPOSE:To conduct a fixed current to a light emitting element and thus keep illuminance constant by compensating line loss by means of a transistor and a diode. CONSTITUTION:A resistor R2 and a transistor 6 are connected in series to the light emitting element (LED) 1, and a Zener diode 7 is connected in parallel to the transistor 6 and the LED 1. If the relation between the equivalent resistance RTR and the line resistance (r) is within the range of the relation RTR+r= constant, the current Id flowing through the LED 1 is given in terms of Id= (Vz-Vbe-VD), and can be therefore used without being affected by the line loss. |
