PURPOSE:To reproduce a reproducing signal from a VTR as a radar image by detecting a vertical synchronizing signal, a horizontal synchronizing signal and an azimuth signal, from a radar video signal recorded in the VTR. CONSTITUTION:A reproducing video output from a VTR18 is provided to an interface device 71, and is supplied to a radar monitoring device 12 through a buffer 73 and an amplifier 74. Also, as for a video signal branching from the buffer 73, a vertical synchronizing signal and a horizontal synchronizing signal are detected by a V detecting circuit 76 and an H detecting circuit 77, respectively, and basing on both these synchronizing signals, a trigger signal is reproduced from a trigger generating circuit 78. This trigger signal is supplied to a trigger input terminal of the monitoring device 12. On the other hand, an azimuth signal from the VTR18 is reproduced by an amplifier 82 and is supplied to the monitoring device 12. In this way, a reproducing signal from the VTR can be reproduced as a radar image.
