Summary: | PURPOSE:To suppress the shift of points upon which beams become incident, which might be caused due to the shift of a shadow mask or the like, at a low cost by locating the longitudinal direction of a discharging emissional part parallel to an axis which slants from the vertical axis of a face panel by a rotation angle, theta. CONSTITUTION:An ultra-high pressure mercury lamp 5 is located in such a manner that its slender discharging emissional part 10 is positioned parallel to an axial line (l-l') which slants clockwise from the vertical axis (Y-Y') of a face panel 4 by a rotation angle (theta). As a result, the outgoing point of the light of the lamp 5 seen from the lower surface side of a correction lens system, especially from its peripheral part, shifts clockwise from that seen when the part 10 is not given any slant of the rotation angle (theta). Therefore, exposed points, points of a photosensitive film provided on the inner wall of the face panel 4, especially of its peripheral part, upon which exposure beams become incident through a shadow mask, shift in directions indicated by the arrows. Consequently, any shift of the exposed points, which might be caused when the points upon which the beams are incident upon shift, can be prevented. |
