Summary:PURPOSE:A bulk flow of glass fibers is continuously formed by the centrifugation method and collected with an accumulation conveyor which is vibrated reciprocatingly in the direction parallel to the conveyor moving to produce glass wool with uniform fiber distribution. CONSTITUTION:So-called veil 8, an annular flow of glass fine fiber bulk which is formed in the glass fiber maker 5, is made to flow into the guide tube 11. At the same time, the tube 11 is reciprocated in the direction of arrows B and C by a driving mechanism to vibrate the bail 8 reciprocatory in the direction parallel with the moving direction of the accumulation conveyor 4, given by the arrow A and the fibers are collected on the upper surface 10 of the conveyor 4 by the sucking action of the box 1. In the meantime, bail 8 is reciprocated in the direction parallel with the conveyor moving direction so that the bail is distributed alternately on both right and left sides of the conveyor 4 to collect glass wool with uniform fiber distribution.
