Summary: | PURPOSE:To drive a motor by comparing a drive time with a pause time, and setting the standby time so that the ratio of the drive time to the pause time becomes always lower than the prescribed time, thereby always suppressing the temperature rise at the value lower than the prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The drive of a DC motor 9 which rotates a print wheel 8 of a typewriter is controlled through a driver 17 by inputting signals of a keyboard 14, a detector 15 which detects the moving position of a linear motor 2 and a detector 16 which detects the rotary position of the motor 9 to a microcomputer 13. The drive time and the pause time of the motor 9 are added and compared, the standby time is set at every drive end time so that the ratio of the pause time to the drive time becomes lower than the prescribed value, and the drive of the motor is stopped based on the instruction signal during the time. Accordingly, the temperature rise can be suppressed, and accidental motor stop can be prevented during the drive. |
