Summary:PURPOSE:To perform the preparation of an iron core as a block by a method wherein brackets for transformer and a transformer frame having magnetic shield effect are utilized when laminated silicon steel plate with a fixed lamination thickness are inserted in a coil for assembly. CONSTITUTION:An E-shaped iron core 10 made of laminated silicon steel plates with a fixed lamination thickness is inserted in a transformer frame 11 bent in U-shapes and having magnetic shield effect. After that, caulking and spot welding 13 are applied to several places at the bent lug section 12 of the transformer frame 11 and the iron core 10 is fixed as an E-shaped block iron core 14 with transformer frame having magnetic shield effect. In the same way, an I-shaped silicon steel plate iron core 14 with the same lamination thickness as that of the E-type iron core 10 is inserted in a bracket having a cut up section 16 and caulking and spot welding 18 are applied to the I-shaped block iron core 15 and the surface in the lamination direction of the I-type iron core 15 engaging and connecting with the cut up section 16, and the I-type iron core 15 is fixed as an I-type block iron core 19 with bracket.
