PURPOSE:To shorten transmission-line switching time and to relieve a load on each subordinate station by performing transmission-line switching control over respective subordinate station according to the instruction of a specific pattern signal from an overall control station. CONSTITUTION:Specific patterns for transmission-line switching are stored previously in communication control parts 24 and 34 of local stations 2 and 3. When a central control station 1 sends a switching instruction to a bus interface 12, the interface 12 converts it into a specific pattern signal, which is transmitted to the local stations 2 and 3 through a transmission line 50. On receiving said specific pattern signal by the communication control parts 24 and 34, the local stations 2 and 3 detect them to detect one transmission-line switching pattern by said specific pattern stored previously. Then, the communication control parts 24 and 34 disconnect themselves from the bus interfaces 22 and 32 to connect with bus interfaces 23 and 33, and at the same time, communication control parts 25 and 35 selects bus interfaces 22 and 32 to be accessed and make connections with them.
