Summary: | PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of engine stall, by increasing the engine speed for a predetermined while after starting of the engine by use of a throttle positioner. CONSTITUTION:A means 14 for controlling the opening of a throttle valve 13 is composed of a stopper plate 18 fixed to the valve shaft 16 of the throttle valve 13 and a vacuum operated mechanism 20 adapted for restricting the position of the stopper plate 18. A spring 26 of the vacuum operated mechanism 20 normally urges its pin 24 in a direction away from the marginal portion 18' of the stopper plate 18, and a vacuum port 28 of the intake pipe is connected to a diaphragm 22 of the mechanism 20. With such an arrangement, when current is supplied to a solenoid valve 30, the negative pressure at the port 28 is acted to the diaphragm 22, so that the pin 24 is projected toward the stopper plate 18. Therefore, when the accelerator pedal is released, the throttle valve 13 is unabled to return to its fully closed position, so that the idling speed can be set at a high speed. Thus, it is enabled to prevent occurrence of engine stall at the time of starting the engine. |
