Summary: | PURPOSE:To perform adequate refining by dephosphorization with good quality without decrease in yield by expressing a phosphorus distributing ratio by an equation including an amt. of a fluxing agent and a target concn. of carbon and determining the required amt. of the fluxing agent with high accuracy in accordance with the target concn. of carbon by using said equation. CONSTITUTION:The amt. of addition of CaO which is a fluxing agent required for refining by dephosphorization in a converter is determined as a required sufficient amt. by the empirical equation logLP=log (%P2O5)/(%P)=18360/T+ 0.2682[(%CaO)/(%SiO2)]+0.7281log(%T.Fe)-0.2821log(%C)-9.464 (where Lp is a phosphorus distributing ratio, (%CaO), (%P2O5), (%T.Fe), (%SiO2) denote the concn. % of CaO, P2O5, total iron, SiO2 in slag, respectively, (%P). (%C) denote the concn. % of P, C in the steel bath and T denotes an absolute temp. K). |
