Summary: | PURPOSE:To prepare the titled substance by reacting an alpha- and/or beta-arylglycoside with an alicyclic alcohol, etc. in an aqueous solution containing an organic solvent in the presence of alpha- and/or beta-glycosidase stable in concentrated organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:An alpha- and/or beta-arylglycoside is made to react with a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic or alicyclic alcohol in an aqueous solvent containing an organic solent in high concentration or in a dispersion composed of aqueous phase and organic solvent phase in the presence of alpha- and/or beta-glycosidase stable in a concentrated organic solvent and originated from e.g. Aspergillus orizae. The organic solvent is e.g. acetophenone, chlorobenzene, acetone, chloroform, etc., and the alpha- or beta-arylglycoside is e.g. phenyl-beta-D-galactoside, etc. The reaction is carried out at 3-9 pH, and the resultant titled substiance can be used as a drug, etc. |
