Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a thermolastic polyurethane resin composition useful in the production of moldings, films, coatings, interior or exterior materials of vehicle, etc., having excellent mechanical properties, by introducing an organopolysiloxane bond into the molecular chain. CONSTITUTION:A polymer diol (A) with an average MW of 500-10,000, an organic diisocyanate (B) and, optionally, a chain extender (C) having two active hydrogen atoms and average MW<=500, and further a crosslinking agent (D) having at least three active hydrogen atoms are allowed to react with each other under the below-mentioned condition. Namely, the titled resin composition is obtained by carrying out the above reaction under conditions where the ratio of the total number of the active hydrogen atoms contained in the below-mentioned carbinol and components C and D, if used, to the number of the isocyanato groups in component B is 1:0.85-1:1.1, and using an organopolysiloxane dicarbinol as part or whole of the component A. Further, this composition is mixed with a composition prepared from an organic diol and component B to obtain another titled composition.
