Summary:PURPOSE:To produce a cold-rolled band steel for galvanization which provides the plating appearance equal to the plating appearance of a wet pickled and descaled steel plate by descaling a hot rolled band steel by wet blasting then cold rolling the band steel at a high draft. CONSTITUTION:A slurry mixed with abrasive grains and water is projected under high pressure to a hot rolled band steel to descale the same. The band steel is then cold-rolled at a high draft of >=75% draft. If the cold rolled steel plate obtd. in such a way is plated with Zn, the spangle size of the size equal to the spangle size of the descaled steel plate by wet pickling and descaling is obtained.
