Summary:PURPOSE:To miniaturize the equipment required for hardening and to manufacture a high quality stabilizer simply and in a short time by performing bending during tempering process after hardening the blank material of straight pipe made of steel. CONSTITUTION:A blank material of straight tubular steel stabilizer heated and hardened at high speed by a high frequency induction coil etc. to heighten tenacity and improve surface texture. It is then tempered to improve strength and fatigue characteristics. In the warm temperature range, preferably 200- 600 deg.C, during tempering process, the stabilizer blank material is bent to desired shape, and at the same time, piercing and other mechanical working are performed. If necessary, it is subjected to shot peening, painting and corrosion preventive processings and a stabilizer product 1 is obtained.
