Summary: | PURPOSE:To improve the safety of a vehicle chassis by providing an inclination detecting means and a lift detecting means and allowing a rear axle to rock or to be fixedly locked with respect to a frame of a car body. CONSTITUTION:When a potentiometer 27 detects an inclination of a rear axle 3, a solenoid 45 is kept unexcited to open a solenoid valve 42. Then, both left and right cylinder chambers 38 and 39 of a locking cylinder 32 may communicate with each other to permit a rod 35 to be reciprocated laterally. Since both lock lever 37 may thereby become turnable, a rear axle 3 is maintained in the rocking condition with respect to a frame 1. When a fork 8 is lifted over a certain height with the rear axle horizontal, both lock levers 37 can not be turned so that rocking of the rear axle 3 is restricted. |
