PURPOSE:To improve the speed of dust removal in removing dust contained in the oil in a oil tank, by providing a filter and an electrostatically dust collecting electrode to an oil circulating piping. CONSTITUTION:A cooler 4 used for cooling the oil in a oil tank 3 and a pump 5 are connected to the main tank 3 of a transformer, which incorporates an iron core 1 and a winding 2, by a pipe 6. An electrostatically dust collecting type dust removing device, formed by connecting a dust collecting part 7, an oil pump 8, and a filter 9 with the aid of a pipe 10, is provided to the lower part of the tank 3. When a high DC voltage is impressd to a dust collecting electrode 14, an electric field is generated in the oil of tank 3 so as to place the electrode 14 as a center, and the dust is attracted to the electrode 14 by the electric field. The collected dust 15 is sucked into the pipe 10 by the oil pump 8 and is removed by the filter 9.
