Summary:PURPOSE:To enable an operator to perform the detailed after-processing, by detecting the state of recording at the receiving side and delivering the state based on the result of detection. CONSTITUTION:In case a transmission mode is selected, the state of the recording part of the remote side such as the presence or absence of toner, paper, etc. is detected. The information on the detection is sent back to the transmitting side. Thus an exchange 4 is controlled by the transmitting side basing on the information of detection. Then in the case of absence of the turning busy and toner, for instance, the picture signal is stored once in a disk 6. The picture information is fed to the receiving side in real time in the normal state. Then the status of absence of the toner, paper, etc. is displayed when the end of transmission is decided.
