Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform winding in layers by installing, in such a manner as capable of rising and sinking freely a core for insertion of the wind up drum at a framing, mounted on the base with possibility of vertical motion as well as rotation, and by allowing the wind up drum to rotate and rise/sink so that the tension of the wire is held always with a certain constant value. CONSTITUTION:For wind up of a wire 9, first wind up drum 2 is placed on a roll 18 and then a core 22 is set in this wind up drum 2 by lifting a cylinder 3, whereafter the end of the wire 9 is fastened to the wind up drum 2. Then a motor 11 is started to rotate a rotor 8 through a powder clutch 10, and the wire 9 is wound by rotating the wind up drum 2 through a rotary drum 5. When the tension of the wire 9 attains a certain specified value, a tension controller 31 shall put the powder clutch 10 in action so as to transmit power to the rotary drum 5 in a specified amount. When winding-up is completed, a vertical motion controller 30 shall invert the rotational direction of the motor 14 to let the cylinder 3 fall with the aid of a jack 13. Then the wind up drum 2 is sent forward to the next process.
