Summary:PURPOSE:To easily obtain an extruded product which has an uniformly smooth shape in a longitudinal and a lateral direction of the back, by a method wherein, until the extruded product right after extruding is cooled and cured, it is conveyed to a level positioned at the same height as that of a lower side of an orifice by a conveyor having a conveying surface being smooth in conformity with the configuration of the back of the extruded product. CONSTITUTION:In an extruding die 2, a notch is formed below a lower side 3 of an orifice forming the back of an extrudec product M, and a belt conveyor 5 is located so that a conveying surface 4 is continuously positioned in the same level as that of the lower side 3 of the orifice. The conveying surface 4 is smoothened, and the surface is held in the shape being in conformity with the shape, i.e., a flat surface or an R-shape, of the back of the extruded product M by follower rollers 6 and 6A and a drive roller 7, which are located below the lower side 3 of the orifice. The length of the conveying surface 4 may be longer than a conveying distance during which the extruded product is cooled and cured. A material of a belt is preferably a synthetic resin comprising glass fiber serving as a core material and synthetic resin such as teflon coating the surface thereof.
