Summary:PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for jobs such as main class reading, listening to sub-class and interpretation to the content of failure, at a maintenance in charge station, by using the combination between a DC voltage polarity and a multi-frequency signal, and transferring failure information. CONSTITUTION:When a failure takes place in an exchange, the main class and the sub-class corresponding to the accommodated terminal number of a failure display are selected at a code conversion circuit 1. The main class is transmitted to an A, B line voltage control circuit 2, and a voltage to be applied to a relay line is selected and transmitted out of BB, B snd G. The sub-class is transmitted from a PB oscillation circuit 3 and one figure out of four figures assigned as the sub-class of the PB signal is transmitted to the relay line via a coupling transformer T. The DC signal and the PB signal transmitted from an unattended station are received at a maintenance in charge station and translated at the processor, allowing to read the content of failure automatically.
