Summary: | PURPOSE:To discriminate pages, by providing holes at both ends of pages and photosensors in correspondence to the position of the holes. CONSTITUTION:Photosensors 1a-1c are placed at the left side of pages 3, and photosensors 1d-1f are located at the right side of the pages 3. Each page of the pages 3 has discriminating holes 2a-2c. Through-holes (white round) among the discriminating holes transmit light and then the output of the corresponding photosensor goes to ''1''. The outputs of the photosensors 1a-1c are inverted and the outputs of the photosensors 1d-1f are outputted directly. Seven pages are discriminated by using the 6 sensors. Since the number of photosensors required is halved, the cost is reduced remarkably. |
