Summary: | PURPOSE:To enable a glass mat with an extremely small spring back effect and a high density to be obtained by subjecting a glass mat coated with different kinds of thermoplastic-resin binder films to cold formation work during the time when thermoplastic-resin binders are sufficiently molten. CONSTITUTION:After an acrylic-resin binder 13 is sprayed from a nozzle 2 onto a glass mat 10, the glas mat 10 is sent into an oven 5 so as to evaporate water. Next, a corn-startch binder 14 is sprayed from a nozzle 2' over the mat 10, and the mat 10 is sent into an oven 12 so as to evaporate water. After that, the mat 10 is passed through cold press rollers 6 and 6'. At this point, the thickness of the mat coated with biner films is detected with a thickness detector 8, and the interval between the rollers 6 and 6' is controlled by means of a control device 9. |
