Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a modified polypropylene freed from foaming due to moisture during molding and having good adhesion to polar substances, by heat-treating a specified modified polypropylene and blending the heat-treated polypropylene with a propylene oxide polymer. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of polypropylene, an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative and an organic peroxide is melt-blended. The resulting modified polypropylene is heat-treated at a temperature >=60 deg.C, pref., >=100 deg.C, and 90-50pts.wt. this modified polypropylene is blended with 10-50pts.wt. propylene oxide polymer. As the unsaturated carboxylic acid which can be used, maleic anhydride is most suitable. The heating time for heat treatment is generally about 10min-10hr and preferably this heat treatment is carried out so that the modified polypropylene is devolatilized by heating to an unreacted monomer content <=0.05mol%.
