Summary:PURPOSE:To achieve a transmission tube protecting circuit with low cost simply, by inserting a resistor of small power in series with a transmission tube. CONSTITUTION:A small power resistor 7 is connected in series between a high voltage power supply 1 and a transmission tube 4. If a short circuit phenomenon is produced in the transmission tube 4, most of the voltage of the power supply 1 is applied to the resistor 7. The resistor 7 is damaged by selecting the breakdown voltage of the resistor 7 lower than this applied voltage, no energy of the power supply 1 is transmitted to the trasmission tube 4 and the tube 4 can be protected.
