Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce attenuating of a light power and to enable the improvement of a S/ N, by a method wherein a light shielding part of a chopper, which intermittently isolates a laser light, forms a mirror surface, and a radiation light is caused to alternately enter into gas cells located at a mirror surface and a back side. CONSTITUTION:Through the rotation of a chopper CH, in which a light transmitting part 2 and a light shielding part 3, forming a mirror surface, equalize in a size, an infrared laser light from a light source 1 through the light transmitting part is reflected by a paraboloidal mirror M1 and simultaneously is formed into a parallel beam, and is caused to enter into a beam splitter BSA1. One third of the light is caused to enter into a gas cell GSA1 which is filled with a substance to be measured, remaining 2/3 enters into a splitter BSA2, 1/2 of the remaining 2/3 enters into a GSA3 by means of a mirror MA and is further converted into photoelectricity through condensers LA1, LA2, and LA3 by light detectors DA1-DA3. Meanwhile, a light, which a mirror surface 3 of the chopper CH reflects, is formed into a parallel beam in a similar manner and is converted a photoelectricity by detectors DB1-DB3. This allows 6 samples to be simultaneously detected at a less percentage of a photopower attenuation as conventional, and enables to perform a reliable measurement.
