Summary:PURPOSE:To perform recording of animation with high quality, by correcting locus of scanning of a rotating video head at the stop of tape running and recording, and performing so as to coincide the recording of a control signal with the tape running for continuous recording. CONSTITUTION:When recording of 2-field is finished with stopped tape run, a tape run instruction is given and the rotation of a capstan 5 is started. A control signal is recorded at a control head at the same time when this rotation starts. As the control heads, a recording control head 6 and a playback control head 7 are sequentially provided. Thus, with the run of a magnetic tape 1, the recorded position of the control signal recorded with the control head 6 on a megnetic tape 1 is moved and the run of the magnetic tape 1 is stopped when this control signal is reproduced with the playback control head 7.
