Summary:PURPOSE:To facililtate storage and transportion by providing rotatable stanchions each having a spriral groove on the external circumferetial surface, and by moving a magnetic disk in the axial direction of the stanchion by rotating the stanchion while fitting the end surface of the magnetic disk in the spiral groove. CONSTITUTION:Rotary columns 21-23 each having a spiral groove (Pitch: 7mm.) are fitted rotatably to a fitting plate 3 at equal intervals while inscribed with the internal circumferential surface 11 of a magnetic disk. The rotary columns 21-23 penetrating the lower part of the fitting plate 3 are provided with spur gears 41- 43 and another spur gear 5 meshed with any gear is coupled with a rotary shaft of a reversible electric motor 6. Under the control of a controller 7, respective columns 21-23 revolve once and stop andeach time one magnetic disk base plate 1 is stored, drive and stop operation is performed. Through rotation 8, a turning direction is selected. Thus, storage and transportation are facilitated.
