Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the width of interface signal which is required to transfer and fetch the external standard time to a calculator and to shorten the time used for transfer of the information, by transferring the time information of the largest varied timing unit and the unit type to the calculator. CONSTITUTION:The time information of the timing units like the month, day, hour, minute, second, etc., is stored in registers 101M, 101D of a watch module 101 at the standard time oscillation side to be detected by a constant time detector 102 and a time type-based selector 103. Then the largest time type of the varied timing unit is detected and the corresponding gate G is controlled. Thus, the prescribed time type and the time information are transferred via a time type register 105 and a time information register 106, respectively, and then fetched into a calculator to be restored. In such way, the interface width necessary for the fetching of the time information can be reduced to simplify the constitution and to shorten the time to be consumed for the transfer of the time information.
