Summary:PURPOSE:Stable yellow green pigment having improved coloring power, obtained by adding a specific amount of mineralizer to a mixture consisting of nickel oxide, zinc oxide, and silicic acid in a specific ratio, followed by calcining the blend at a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:1-30wt% mineralizer, e.g., sodium molybdate or sodium tungstate is added to a mixture consisting of 1.3-49.0wt% nickel oxide, 23.0-0wt% zinc oxide, and 28.7-28.1wt% silic acid. The blend is calcined at 1,100-1,300 deg.C. Consequently, yellow green pigment having improved heat resistance and corrosion resistance, not causing change of color even at high temperature. The yellow green pigment is shown by the formula (Ni2-x, ZnX).SiO4(x=0-0.6mol, X is substituent guantity of bivalent metal oxide).
