Summary:PURPOSE:To lower the voltage across terminals of a primary coil by setting up independent power sources on several divided parts of an energy accumulation coil on the primary side. CONSTITUTION:An ohmic heating (OH coil) as primary side coil is divided into OH coils 1 and 50-59 to which high voltage generation circuits are connected respectively. Individual coils 1 and 50-59 are excited with D.C. power sources 11 and 58-67 to accumulate energy. Currents from the D.C. power sources are shut down simultaneously and the energy accumulated in the respective OH coils is circulated with individual resistance coils composed of the OH coils 1 and 50-59 and the resistances 5 and 51-60 whereby a high voltage is generated in the individual OH coils. This high voltage is used to induce a plasma current in the secondary coil 3.
