Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a Cu alloy with superior corrosion resistance for the fins of a radiator for a car by adding specified amounts of Fe, P and Co to Cu. CONSTITUTION:Cu is melted with a graphite crucible. After covering the surface of the molten Cu with charcoal powder, Fe, P and Co are added to the molten Cu so as to adjust the Fe, P and Co contents to 0.02-0.6%, 0.01-0.1% and <=0.5%, respectively, and they are alloyed. The resulting Cu alloy is cast in a mold and subjected to hot rolling, process annealing and cold rolling to form a sheet as the fin material of a radiator for a car. Thus, a Cu alloy sheet with superior corrosion resistance is obtd. without deteriorating heat conductivity peculiar to Cu.
