Summary:NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formulaI(n is 1, 2, or 3). EXAMPLE:3-{2-[4-Diisopropylamino-2-phenyl-2-( 2-pyridyl )butyric acid amide] ethoxycarbonyl}propionic acid. USE:A raw material for preparing an antigen to give an antiserum having high specificity to disopyramide and high titer. PROCESS:A compound shown by the formula II is reacted with extremely excess lower alkanolamine in the presence of a basic catalyst such as preferably potassium carbonate, etc. at a temperature between room temperature and the boiling point of a solvent for 1-24hr, to give a compound shown by the formula III, which is reacted with succinic anhydride in a nonproton solvent (e.g., pyridine, or chloroform) under conditions similar to those mentioned above, to give a compound shown by the formulaI.
