PURPOSE:To enable to discharge filtrate smoothly by a method wherein a filtrate discharge pipe is extended from the upper part of a filter and an air vent apparatus is provided on the way of said discharge pipe. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular plate like filter 14 is suspended in a sludge chamber 6 and the filter 14 has a structure wherein filter cloth nets 16, 17 are contacted from both sides of a spacer frame 15 having a protruded cross area and frame plates 18, 19 are further contacted from the outer side thereof to be fixed by a screw and a filter chamber 20 is formed between the filter cloth nets 16, 17. A filtrate discharge pipe 21 is extended outwardly from the upper end central part of either one of the filter cloth nets 16, 17 and, on the way of this filtrate discharge pipe 21, a water discharge valve 27 is assembled. On the way of the filtrate discharge pipe 21, an air vent pipe 23 is branched and extended therefrom and, on this pipe passage therepf, an air vent valve 24 is assembled.
