Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the lower limit fixing temperature without degrading the offset resistance of a toner, by using a high molecular weight styrene resin together with a polyamide resin as a toner resin component. CONSTITUTION:A resin used for a binder consists of 99.5-80wt% styrene type resin having >=150,000wt average mol.wt. and 0.5-10wt% polyamide,, and carbon black or the like colorant is kneaded with the binder, and pulverized to give 5-20mum sized toner particles. As the styrene type resin, a styrene homopolymer or a copolymer of styrene with another vinyl monomer is used. The polyamide resin used is produced by condensation of a diamine and a dibasic acid, and has 80-150 deg.C melting point. As another resin component of the toner, an epoxy resin or the like may be used by mixing said polymide and styrene resins.
