Summary:PURPOSE:To facilitate the solar tracking adjustment and the like by a method wherein the solar image locus calculated based upon the theoretical values of solar tracking errors with a plain mirror and the like is compared with the solar image locus obtained by actually tracking the sun with the plain mirror in the equipment which collects the sun rays to a heat collecting plate with the plain mirror. CONSTITUTION:In the solar light collecting equipment, which is constituted so as to let the plain mirror 3 track the movement of the sun by rotating the nornal rod 11 of the plain mirror 3 by means of a solar directional rod 12, the solar image locus, which is based upon the angular errors alpha and beta of the normal rod 11 around the directions from east to west and from south to north, the angular error of declination epsilon of the normal rod 11 (all these errors alpha, beta and epsilon are produced at the installation of the plain mirror 3) and the theoretical values of solar tracking errors with the plain mirror, is calculated. In addition, the solar image locus is obtained by actually tracking the sun with the plain mirror. The corrections of the installation errors alpha, beta and epsilon of the plain mirror of the solar light collecting equipment and of the solar tracking error are resulted by comparin said both solar image loci.
