Summary:PURPOSE:To enable repetitive both-side copying without lowering copying speed, by feeding a one-side copied copying paper not extruded but placed at high speed in a second container at a specified timing to make a copy on the other side. CONSTITUTION:An image is transferred from a photosensitive drum 1 onto one side of a copying paper 17 fed from a cassette 16, and the one-side copied paper 17 is conveyed through a separator 19, a fixing device 20, and an extruding roller 22. When the backward end of the paper 17 is detected with an optical detector 24, the paper 17 is not extruded by reverse rotation of the reverse rotation of the roller 22, conveyed through a route 25, etc., held on the forward end with a register roller 29, and placed in the second container at high speed, being left on standby. The paper 17 is conveyed with a roller 29 driven at a desired timing, another image is transferred onto the other side of the paper 17, and the paper is extruded with the roller 22 to a tray 30, thus permitting repetitive both-side copying to be executed at high speed on a single paper without lowering copying speed and complicating structure.
