Summary:PURPOSE:To promote safety and operation convenience by providing a mechanism to cause a movable piece for unlocking a door to move for releasing of door lock by operating a foot swtich outside the device which energizes a solenoid of the device to actuate the movable piece. CONSTITUTION:Upon turning on a foot switch 9, a solenoid 10 is energized to pull up a plunger 11 and simultaneously a movable piece 7 is raised against a spring 12 so that a locking mechanism 4 turns toward the direction as indicated with an arrow to release underside locking. At the same time, an upside locking mechanism 5 is actuated in linkage with the former to release locking. Reaction of releasing can fully open the door 1, and a safety switch 8 then detects the open status of the door, cutting off high-frequency heating if activated. A swtich 13 also detects the open status of the door 1 to deenergize the solenoid 10. This setup is to facilitate keeping hands and arms free when opening the door so that food to be cooked carried in hands or with arms, and is, in addition to it, to promote safety and operation convenience.
