Summary:PURPOSE:To improve a delay of threshold voltage by consuming a part of a discharge capacity of a cell by discharge reaction within a certain time after the cell is built. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 1, formed under pressure from a mixture of carbon fluoride (CFx)n as a principal component, acetylene black, and polytetrafluoroethylene, is formed in a hollow cylinder placed along the inner wall of a cell case 2 made of alminum and also serves as a positive current collector. Next, a metal lithium layer 4 used as a negative electrode active material is formed around a terminal bar 3 made of stainless steel, and its circumference is enveloped by a separator 5, then they are inserted into the hollow section of the positive electrode 1 to make up a cell. After an electrolyte made by dissolving lithium borofluoride in gamma butyrolactone is injected into this cell, 10% or less of a filling theoretical capacity is discharged. When emphasis is put on a discharge capacity in use, 3% or less of the filling theoretical capacity is discharged.
