Summary: | PURPOSE:To increase impedance and to increase a Q factor, by using a substrate where a surface acoustic wave propagates, transducers for energizing the surface acoustic wave, and grating reflectors provided at both the sides of it. CONSTITUTION:On an LiTaO3 substrate 5, transducers 6 and 7 for energizing a surface acoustic wave are made of aluminum thin films in the center, and on both the sides, grating reflectors 8 and 9 are provided. The transducers 6 and 7 each have electrode opening length as long as 20 wavelengths, consist of 11 couples of regular electrodes, and are connected electrically in series. The transducers 6 and 7 are arranged in phase. The electrode width is about 8mum, and the period length is about 16mum. The grating reflectors 8 and 9 each consists of 200 strips, and their electrode width and period length are the same with the transducers 6 and 7. The opening length of the grating reflectors 8 and 9 is as long as 40 wavelengths, which is the same with the series-connected transducers 6 and 7. |
