PURPOSE:To prevent overheating of a solar heat collector by a method wherein at least a part of a heat collecting unit is constituted by a material which shows a phenomenon of memorizing its shape at a phase of a high temperature. CONSTITUTION:A plate 9 made of a reversible shape remembering metal is sticked on the back of a heat collecting plate 7. Under a normal temperature of a heat collecting plate the plate 9 and the heat collecting plate 7 sticked on the plate 9 are in a plane shape and are capable of absorbing a maximum sunlight. When a temperature of the plate 9 is increased, for example, if the temperature comes to 160 deg.C and more, the heat collecting plate 7 together with the plate 9 is curved to a heat collecting plate shape 11 from a normal heat collecting plate shape 10. After the heat collecting plate 7 has been curved an incident quantity of sunlight is limited, a temperature increase is inhibited and overheating is prevented.
