Summary:PURPOSE:To eliminate the possibility of the fact that a card is stolen or the identification number is disclosed to another person, by controlling the card at all times except the time during which the card is read by a card reader. CONSTITUTION:A card is put into a card reader 2, and the secret number data DATA is supplied to a secret number collating part 6 from a keyboard 5. The part 6 carries out the collation between the card and the DATA and then delivers a signal S1 to an identification symbol collating part 7 when a coincidence is obtained. When the part 7 registers the identification symbol data to a memory 9, a device 1 is ready for operation. The card is returned when the registering action is over. The card is put again into the reader 2 when the operation of the device 1 is over, and the same operation is carried out. Thus the part 7 crosses out the registration of data in the memory 9.
