PURPOSE:To obtain a solid fuel with high calorie for a long-time combustion from waste at low cost, by blending a dried organic sludge with sludge, waste oil, plastic waste, etc., drying the blend, and molding it to a given shape. CONSTITUTION:An organic sludge with a water content About 80wt% is fed from the inlet 1 to the rotary blender 2 into which a hot air is introduced so that the water content of the sludge is adjusted to 50-70wt%. Waste oil and a powdery or particulate plastic waste are fed from the inlet 3, and these materials are blended and dried by heating to make a water content about 10wt%. The prepared blend is molded by the centrifugal separator 4 into a given shape, for example, a briquet shape, and subjected to air-drying to give a solid fuel. A weight ratio of the organic sludge, waste oil, and plastic waste is 60-80:15-25:5-15. USE:The combustion product of the solid material can be used as a soil improver.
