Summary:PURPOSE:To make current balance precise without a current balancing reactor by controlling an ignition signal given to the main thyristor in a circuit in which two or more thyristors are connected with each other in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The DC current transformers DCCT1 and DCCT2 for current- detection are provided to the smoothing reactors MSL1 and MSL2 respectively. When a difference is produced in the detecting values of these current transformers, for example, IMSL2>IMSL2, an ''on'' pulse to be given to the main thyristor MCRF1 is shifted to the right side of Figure and ''on'' pulse to be given to the main thyristor MCRF2 is shifted to the left side in order to narrow the conducting range of the main thyristor MCRF1 and to widen the conducting range of the main thyristor MCRF2 for balancing two current values of both thyristors.
