Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomagnetism measuring device to monitor the movement of blood and the tissue of the heart simultaneously when the movement of a cardiac muscle is monitored. SOLUTION: In a biomagnetism measuring device which has a superconducting quantum interference element (SQUID) 4 having a detecting coil 3 to detect a magnetic field generated from a subject 1, a cryostat 2 to hold the SQUID at a low temperature and fluxmeter operating circuits 5, 6, 7 and 8 and measures the magnetic field generated from the subject, the device has an oscillator 10 to flow an alternating current to the examinee by impressing the alternating current having a first frequency on electrodes 12 and 13 arranged on the body surface of the subject, a means to synchronously detect output from the fluxmeter operating circuits by a synchronizing signal 11 from the oscillator and a display means to display a measured result, and a first magnetic field signal (a variation in a magnetic field generated when a feeble electric current flows) is obtained from the synchronously detecting means. Therefore, a variation in a feeble alternating electric current caused by a movement of blood and the tissue of the heart can be two-dimensionally detected, and can be converted into an image.
