Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with retainer by which a retainer insertion hole can be prevented from exposed, and by which the holding power of the terminal fitting can be improved. SOLUTION: A retainer 30 can be rotated in a housing 10 on an insertion part 33, and a locking projection 32 formed on the insertion part 33, is locked on a terminal fitting 20 when the retainer 30 is rotated to the terminal fitting locking position. That is, the connector can be directly locked on the terminal fitting 20, so that the terminal fitting 20 can be held with high holding power. Further, a retainer insertion hole 31 of the housing 10 is located on a front face of the housing 10, whereby it can be covered with a counter part connector, it can be prevented from exposed to the outside. That is, this connector can be provided with the merits of both of the conventional side retainer type and front retainer type connectors, and the terminal fitting 20 can be held with high holding power even though it is the water-proof type connector.
