Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the miniaturized portable electronic equipment of satisfactory acoustic characteristics for housing a buzzer in a small space and strongly fixing it. SOLUTION: A circuit board 12 is held between an upper cover having a display window and a lower cover and a piezoelectric buzzer 18 is fixed on the upper surface of a semiconductor chip such as a CPU 16, for example, mounted on the circuit board 12 by an adhesive member such as a double coated adhesive tape, for example. Since a fixing plane can be made flat and sured wide, the buzzer is surely fixed. It is not necessary to provide any special space for arranging the piezoelectric buzzer 18 and the miniaturized, thin and inexpensive portable electronic equipment improved in acoustic characteristics can be provided.
