Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make convertible luminance data into concentration data in a short time without requiring a large amount of investment for instruments by irradiating, with a laser beam, inside a wind tunnel measuring part, and by analyzing a reflection distribution of incident light of a photographed image caused by fluid particles to measure the diffusion state. SOLUTION: A testing gas 13 containing fine particles is introduced to a model chimney 14 from a gas generator 27 through a flow meter 26, is discharged inside a tunnel measuring part 11 to irradiate a perpendicular cross section 16 of gas 13 orthogonal to a tunnel air current with a sheetlike laser beam, and scattered light intensity is photographed by a video camera 21 to input a video signal to an image analyzing device 22. The device 22 converts lumunance data into concentration data to be output to a graphic display 23 or a printer 25 by utilizing the fact that fine particles contained in the gas 13 scatter the laser beam, and the luminance data of the video signal is proportional to the space concentration of the fine particles, and that a gas amount passing through the cross section 16 per unit time is equivalent to a discharged gas amount per unit time.
