Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a high scavenging efficiency at a high speed and prevent the expansion work from being wastefully lost in a low speed area by providing a variable valve system capable of variably controlling the working angle of an exhaust valve to control the opening and closing timing of the exhaust valve, and controlling the opening timing of the exhaust valve so as to be earlier than normal at an engine high speed. SOLUTION: When the eccentric cam 125 of a control shaft 123 is rotated, for example, from the solid line position to the dotted line position, a control housing 105 is rotated from the solid line position to the dotted line position, and a driven side gear 110 is rotated clockwise around a drive shaft-side gear 106 according to the rotating angle of the control housing 105. Namely, the driven side gear 110 revolves around a driving shaft 101. The rotation central position of a drive disc 109 is moved down by a prescribed quantity, and a cam driver 113 rotates around the rotating center of the drive disk 109 in the state off-centered by the prescribed quantity. Consequently, the working angle is increased, and the maximum lift quantity of an exhaust valve 5 is also increased. |
