Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable setting the optimum dynamic guidance route, considering the past traveling route by selecting either the guidance route to a destination which is received from a road traffic information center or the guidance route to destination which is operated on the basis of stored road map data by comparing the necessary time of the routes. SOLUTION: Destination data are transmitted to a road traffic information center with communication equipment on the vehicle side. The minimum time route (C-DRGS route) to the destination and the necessary time to the destination which are operated in the center on the basis of detailed road traffic information in a wide range are received. By interrupt processing, an L-DRGS route is operated on the basis of road traffic information which is inputted from a beacon or FM multiplex broadcasting and road map data which are stored in a storage device in a self car. The necessary time to the destination of the C-DRGS route is compared with that of the L-DRGS route. On the basis of the comparison result, either traveling on the present route or changeover to other route is selected. |
